The 2nd Very Special Prom - July 2008
The first Prom for adults with disabilities was such a huge success that it's become an annual event. The second Very Special Prom, "A Midsummer Night's Dream", was held July 19, 2008, at the Sisters of the Divine Redeemer's St. Anne Hall in Elizabeth Township.

Tom Chapin Benefit Concerts - June 2008
Tom Chapin returned to Pittsburgh with his band, including Michael Mark and Jon Cobert, on June 14th, 2008. The extraordinarily popular singer presented two entertaining shows to benefit the Celebration of Life, our nonprofit charitable organization serving adults with physical and cognitive disabilities. A Family Show took place at Gateway High School Auditorium at 3pm, and a repeat engagement of Tom's successful Pittsburgh performance of "An Evening Out with Friends" Gala Buffet Dinner and Concert was held at Paradiso Ristorante, One Oxford Centre, Downtown Pittsburgh, later that evening.

Marty Haugen's Agape - September 2007
Agape The Stories and the Feast was presented at Duquesne University on Saturday evening, September 8th at 8:00 p.m. and at St. Louise de Marillac church on Sunday evening, September 9th at 7:30 p.m. and was a great success. Marty Haugen also presented "Exploring The Renewal Of Worship" Music Workshop at St. Louise de Marillac on Saturday, September 8th. This music workshop featured Marty Haugen sharing insights and inspirations from his music for worship services. The workshop culminated in a Mass at 12:15 p.m. with Fr. Mark Gruber, O.S.B., with music led by Marty Haugen. In addition, Marty presented a Concert of Healing and Hope on Monday, September 10th at Duquesne University.

Very Special Prom - June 2007
The very first Prom for adults with disabilities was a HUGE success! Over 100 volunteers, decorators, board members, photographers, family members, friends, parents, potential partners, and our very special guests enjoyed this inaugural event on Saturday, June 16th, 2007. One of the highlights was a very moving solo by Walter H., who sang "What a Wonderful World", followed by a rousing round of cheering and applause.
